Day 4, Waking Up, Silence

Today I woke up very late and did a lot of stuff with my family so I decided to do the Day 4 meditation in the evening before bed. I was lying on my back, eyes closed, while outside there was a storm with lots of wind. It was interesting to have a calmed mind when there was such turbulent energy surrounding me, especially because Harris said to just pay attention to your breathing. For this meditation Harris was silent for most of the time to give listeners an opportunity to immerse themselves in their surrounding sounds. There was a point where I thought the meditation had stopped because it had been quiet for so long. I also noticed that in that long silence I almost slipped away into sleep. I realize now that I like to do these meditations in the morning because the serene feeling it gives me follows me into the rest of my day.
