Day 1, Sam Harris’s Waking Up

Today I started school and I was feeling a lot of anxiety. I decided to start the Introductory Meditation Course on Sam Harris’s Waking Up app. I started with Day 1. Sam Harris introduced me to the course and led me on a five minute long meditation. The meditation style was to simply pay attention to your breathing, and notice the thoughts that may pop into your mind. This meditation helped me get out of my head and calm down. Afterwards I am feeling a lot less anxiety and am looking forward to doing Day 2 tomorrow.
